Overview

The Homemade Brownie Company sells homemade, gluten-free brownies online throughout the UK. As well as the online store, the company also supplies cafes, restaurants and businesses with next day delivery.

Being a fast-growing company, the owners needed to focus on other aspects of the business and felt they didn’t have enough time to focus on their social media content. Sanzen Digital Marketing was tasked with increasing the number of Instagram followers and improve the company’s sales using that channel.

The monthly competitions were a huge success, more than doubling the number of engagements and followers.

Solutions

After analysing HBC’s existing Instagram profile, Sanzen proposed the following:
 

  • Increasing the frequency of the posts published with new daily posts.
  • Improving the use of hashtags – Sanzen undertook full research of relevant hashtags that would help increase the reach of the posts.
  • Adding a monthly competition offering a free box of brownies, in order to drive positive engagement, increase the number of followers and grow brand awareness.
  • Rewriting the sales copy to drive people to the online shop at key times of the year; for example, Easter or Valentine’s.
  • Contacting followers to improve brand awareness and sales.
